Psalm 60:12 “With God we will gain the victory, and He will trample down our enemies.”
We all have a story to tell. That was never more evident then what we witnessed in a room full of women at this year’s conference. We listened to story after story of moms who have lost their child and in some cases more than one child. We listened as they shared the dark side of their loss, the destruction that it caused to them and their families. It was a room filled with tragedy or so it would appear. If you looked closer you would find so much more. It was a room of women who were courageous in their search of conquering this very event that many feel could lead to destruction. Women who are trying to take this trial and make it into something that will bring out the betterment of themselves and those around them. Women who reached out beyond their own pain to touch a hand or offer a hug to someone they might never see again. You could feel the very tangible presence of the One who was there giving us His strength. When we are weak, He is there to make us strong and strength was abundant in that room. It was a room filled with tragedy, yes, but also so much courage, love and God’s strength. As they move forward on this grief journey and seek out the Lord, we can see it will also become a room of women who have taken tragedy and turned it into triumph.
Lord, we thank You for our seeing firsthand how You turn tragedy into triumph.
