1 Corinthians 2:9 "However, as it is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him."
My four-year-old granddaughter and I were talking the other day about dreams. I told her that her papa has dreams that he can fly. I asked her if she had ever had a dream before. She proceeded to tell me that she dreamt she was a beautiful princess and in her dream she made the world into a beautiful place. I asked her what she did to make the world beautiful and she told me she forgot that part of her dream. I am not sure what a four-year-old’s concept of a beautiful world would look like, but I am sure it would be a world filled with princesses and plenty of pink!
We have a place we are headed that will be beyond anything we could ever dream about. It is a new place where we will be greeted by the maker of Heaven and Earth. A place where there is no pain or suffering, no tears to be shed. We will walk on streets of gold and have treasures waiting for us to discover. There is even a promise of a crown of life given to all who have loved God. Even reading what Heaven will be like for me always falls short because my small mind just cannot comprehend what God has created for our future. This is the beautiful world our children have come to know and one day we too will understand. Have you ever thought about the moment we are absent from our body and present with the Lord? I will be so happy to see the Lord and all the people of the Bible. I also know the Lord will understand that I will be canvassing the area to find my daughter. In the Lord’s compassion and love for me, I bet He will have my daughter by the hand waiting to greet me together!
Lord, You died as a criminal in a world that showed its dark and ugly side to offer us a chance to spend eternity in a world filled with light and beauty.
